Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, there lived a clever little mouse and a cunning crocodile. The mouse was known for its quick thinking and sharp wit, while the crocodile was known for its slyness and deceit. One sunny day, as the mouse was scurrying along the riverbank, it spotted the crocodile basking in the sun. The crocodile, with a wicked grin on its face, called out to the mouse, "Hello there, little mouse! How about we become friends?" The mouse, being cautious by nature, replied, "I would love to be your friend, but how can I trust you? You are known for your cunning ways." The crocodile, pretending to be hurt, said, "Oh, little mouse, you wound me with your words! I promise to be a true friend to you. Let's seal our friendship with a hug." The mouse, sensing the crocodile's ulterior motives, came up with a clever plan. It said, "I would be happy to hug you, dear crocodile, but I am afraid I might drown in the river. Could you please bring a large rock for me to stand on?" The crocodile, thinking that it had outsmarted the mouse, eagerly swam towards the riverbank with a large rock in its mouth. As it approached the mouse, the mouse quickly climbed onto the rock and out of the crocodile's reach. With a mischievous smile, the mouse said, "Thank you, dear crocodile, for the rock. Now I can safely hug you without the fear of drowning." The crocodile, realizing that it had been tricked, felt foolish and angry. It vowed to get revenge on the clever mouse. From that day on, the crocodile and the mouse became sworn enemies. The crocodile would lie in wait for the mouse, hoping to catch it off guard. But the mouse, always one step ahead, would outsmart the crocodile every time. And so, the clever mouse and the cunning crocodile continued their game of wits in the forest, each trying to outwit the other. But no matter how hard the crocodile tried, it could never catch the mouse. The moral of the story is that intelligence and quick thinking can overcome even the most cunning of adversaries. It is important to be cautious and use our wits to navigate through life's challenges. So, the next time you find yourself in a tricky situation, remember the clever mouse and the cunning crocodile, and let your intelligence guide you to victory.
