People Come and Go

People come and go, Like waves upon the shore. They enter our lives, And then they're here no more. Some leave footprints, On the sands of time. While others pass by, Without leaving a sign. Friends we once held dear, Can drift away like a breeze. Leaving us with memories, And a heart that grieves. But in the ebb and flow, Of life's constant tide. New faces will appear, To stand by our side. For as people come and go, We learn and we grow. We cherish the moments, And let the rest go. So let us embrace, The transient nature of life. For it is in the impermanence, That we find strength and strife. People come and go, But the impact they make. Will forever be etched, In the choices we undertake. So let us treasure, Each encounter we find. For in the dance of life, We leave no one behind. Remember, people come and go, But the love we share. Will always remain, In the hearts that care.
