Dayang Sumbi was surprised and grateful, and she promised to marry Tumang as a token of her gratitude. Little did Dayang Sumbi know, Tumang was not an ordinary dog. He was actually a man who had been cursed to live as a dog. However, he had the ability to transform back into a human from time to time. Tumang had fallen in love with Dayang Sumbi and had been watching over her for a long time. Dayang Sumbi and Tumang got married, and they had a son named Sangkuriang. Sangkuriang grew up in the woods, unaware of his true identity. He was a skilled hunter and spent most of his time exploring the forest. One day, Sangkuriang came across a beautiful woman in the woods. Little did he know, the woman was actually his mother, Dayang Sumbi. They spent time together, talking and laughing, and Sangkuriang fell in love with her. When Dayang Sumbi realized that Sangkuriang was her son, she was filled with sadness. She knew that they could never be together as lovers. In order to prevent Sangkuriang from discovering the truth, she set him a seemingly impossible task - to build a dam and a boat overnight. Sangkuriang accepted the challenge and worked tirelessly throughout the night. However, as the sun began to rise, he realized that he would not be able to complete the task in time. Filled with anger and frustration, he kicked the dam he had built, causing it to collapse and flood the area. Dayang Sumbi, seeing the destruction caused by Sangkuriang, was filled with grief. She cursed him, turning him into a mountain. The mountain, now known as Mount Tangkuban Perahu, is said to resemble a capsized boat, a reminder of Sangkuriang's failed attempt to win his mother's love.
