This research aimed to determine the emotional maturity and learning motivation of high school students through distance learning. The study utilized a quantitative method with a survey technique. The participants included 35 Indonesian high school students, representing the accreditation criteria. The findings revealed that the average value of students' emotional maturity during the Covid-19 pandemic was in the good category, with a score of 61.6%. This indicates that high school students, aged 15-18 years, have a relatively good level of emotional maturity despite the challenges of distance learning. Furthermore, the average value of student learning motivation was also in the good category, with 66.5%. This suggests that students were able to maintain their learning motivation even in the context of distance learning. It is worth noting that students were not yet familiar with this mode of learning, which differs significantly from traditional offline learning. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that emotional maturity and learning motivation among high school students in distance learning are still in the good category. However, it is important to note that there is room for improvement. The researchers recommend increasing teacher participation and enhancing the quality of parenting in the context of distance learning. Additionally, students should cultivate positive thinking and embrace their individuality to adapt effectively to the new learning environment. In conclusion, this research sheds light on the emotional maturity and learning motivation of high school students in distance learning. The findings highlight the need for support and guidance from teachers and parents to ensure students' emotional well-being and sustained motivation in this unique learning setting.
