Pada suatu hari, seorang pengembara muda tersesat di hutan. Tiba-tiba ia melihat cahaya dari sebuah pondok tua. Ia mengetuk pintu dan seorang wanita tua membukanya. Wanita itu sedang menangis karena set mencuri lilin ajaibnya. Lilin tersebut bisa memberikan apa saja yang ia minta. Pengembara itu bertanya ke wanita tua itu di mana letak istana setan. "Di istana tidak jauh dari sini," jawab wanita tua itu.

Pengembara itu pergi ke istana tersebut. Di sana ia menemukan setan, tetapi setan itu sudah tua dan lemah. Oleh karena itu, ketika pengembara itu mengambil lilin ajaib dari meja setan dan lari, setan tidak bisa menangkapnya.
